Position Overview
Logistics Coordinators keep our field operations moving — coordinating the daily assignment of personnel, fleet, equipment, and supply chain across multiple concurrent habitat restoration projects. You'll ensure resources are allocated to meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets, while supporting procurement and a range of operational, administrative, and HR functions.
This is a behind-the-scenes leadership role that keeps NRP's crews equipped and ready, based at our St. Paul office with hybrid or remote flexibility available upon request. We are looking for candidates who want to grow with us and develop NRP into the future.
Expected Time Allocation
50% - Coordinating personnel, fleet, and equipment readiness; supporting field crews; maintaining accurate supply and inventory data
25% - Procurement of project materials, logistics planning, and resource mobilization support
15% - HR and administrative duties
10% - Assisting with bidding and other responsibilities as assigned
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a positive, professional example to colleagues regarding workplace actions, decisions, and adherence to the employee handbook
Comprehend and uphold Company Handbook, policies, and processes
Manage project scheduling for personnel, fleet, and equipment deployment
Lead activation logistics for upcoming awarded projects
Maintain monthly-to-quarterly supply and logistics forecasting and procurement
Maintain and facilitate recertification scheduling for personnel
Maintain client and vendor relations appropriate to the branch
Track and approve staff PTO and UTO requests
Assist with staff hiring and relay labor needs to HR
Promote a safety-first culture and maintain situational awareness for all
Maintain Operational Leadership: provide Leader's Intent (Task, Purpose, End State) and motivate personnel
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in company-wide meetings; report known personnel, vehicle, or equipment issues
Operate computers and maintain proficient knowledge of company software
Respond to calls, texts, and emails as necessary
Ensure smooth, appropriate communication across all levels of NRP
Travel out of town as needed to complete duties
Required Qualifications
Advanced understanding of logistics, fleet management, or resource management principles
Minimum 2 years of experience managing projects or complex logistics within the industry or related field
Working knowledge of computer programs such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM/mapping software
Ability to read, understand, and accurately explain project/contract specifications
Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and approaching deadlines; sound judgment and creativity in problem-solving
Ability to maintain calm, professional composure when addressing concerns or working under stress
Passion for ecological restoration and natural resource management
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing projects or complex logistics within the industry or related field
Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a similar field
Required Certifications and Licenses
MN DOT Health Card — Required. Must be obtained on or before your first week of employment.
Basic First Aid and CPR — Required within 6 months of hire. NRP hosts biannual classes for staff needing certification.
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record — Required.
Work Schedule and Conditions
8–10 hour workdays typical; irregular hours and occasional weekend hours may be required to meet project deadlines
Based at NRP's West St. Paul office; hybrid or remote work available upon request
All positions include a 90-day probationary period
Occasional overnight travel as requested; per diem provided for all overnight assignments
This is primarily an office-forward position with occasional periods of standing, walking, and lifting up to 25lbs

Compensation
Salary: $77,500 annually | Exempt
