We also specialize in unique fire management such as large scale brush pile burning, and prescribed burns in the urban-wildland interface. Each year, our team burns thousands of acres of land to aid in natural prairie regeneration, woodland management, and oak savanna restoration. Fire is one of the best tools for habitat management, and we have the tools and experience to use it safely and effectively.

RX Fire
Historically, many landscapes experienced periodic wildfires due to lightning strikes or land management by Native Peoples. These lands evolved adapted to fire, and many native habitats in Minnesota such as prairies and oak savannas require frequent fire to stay healthy. When managing or restoring oak forests, oak savannas, or prairies, fire is a must-use tool. Fire can provide many landscape benefits, from setting back encroaching trees to encouraging wildflower growth to preparing a site for seeding. Controlled fire is a crucial tool for habitat management and restoration. We are skilled at burning safely and effectively to achieve the goals of each fire, and we have insurance and experience to take on the inherent risks of fire.
Specialty Burning
Not all fire is the same. Some land management calls for unique burning situations such as burning of large brush piles or burning near highly populated areas. We have managed fire in a variety of areas, and are equipped for many unique situations. Our crews have burned near schools, highways, and within backyards of highly residential areas. If you want fire management, but don’t think it is possible on your land, contact us about our specialty experience.
Wildland Fire Suppression
While fire is a great tool for management, wildfires can be devasting to local communities and resources. Our team is equipped with Wildland Fire certified engines and Wildfire trained crews. We respond to national fire incidents, and provide support to local, state, and federal wildfire crews.
